DHA visits CHINA

DHA participant and speaker at seminar Trends in Dutch Healthcare Design

Together with Minister Edith Schippers (Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport), Dutch Health Architects and partner Royal HaskoningDHV will be travelling to China. They take part in the economic mission Life Sciences & Health that visits the cities of Bejijng, Shanghai and Chengdu from Sunday 8th until Friday 13th September 2013.

Seminar

With its seminar “Designing for clinical pathways in the Netherlands, Trends in Dutch Healthcare Design” and a tailored matchmaking program, DHA will present themselves to representatives of the Chinese government, hospitals, academic institutions and other relevant companies.

DHA in China

Currently DHA and partner Royal HaskoningDHV are working on the Honliv Hospital Cancer Centre in Changyuan Town, Henan, of which construction is planned for 2015. Meanwhile, discussions on new initiatives in China are taking place.

About the Mission

The economic mission aims to strengthen the field of health care, promote mutual trade and investment, as well as technological and scientific cooperation and innovations in the field of life sciences and health. Approximately 25 Dutch companies and institutions will participate in the mission.

Minister Schippers will represent the interests of Dutch life sciences and health companies in conversations with Chinese authorities. During the opening session of a specially organized seminar on Sino-Dutch healthcare, Mrs. Schippers will speak to about 200 decision makers in the Chinese healthcare. In Bejijng, Mrs. Schippers will sign an agreement with her Chinese counterpart Li Bin to work more closely in the field of health care together. With a population of over 1.3 billion people, China faces enormous challenges in respect to providing good and sustainable healthcare.

The Chinese market for medical devices, pharmaceuticals and hospital construction is growing three times as fast as the gross domestic product. This makes it the fastest growing sector in Chinese economy.
